Fred Albert Fuchs

Fred Albert Fuchs was the Second born of Charles and Anna (Alborn) Fuchs. Fred was Born Sept. 12,1888 near Perry,Dallas Co.,Iowa. At an early age he moved to Palo Alto Co.,Iowa just north of Laurens,Iowa.

In 1912 He was married to miss Olive Kemp daughter of Mrs Rall Kemp. To this union was born three children, Floyd, Glenn, and Arlene. This is where I have trouble, I have not found anyone who can remember Olive Kemp or her parents. But this information comes from His obituary (His obit is listed below this entry, left click on the obit it become larger).

At the time of his dead he was not yet 28 years old. Fred and his family had moved to Astoria,Oregon for health reasons. If thing were not bad enough his young daughter Arlene not yet one year old was injured and the Doctor declared that she had but a short time for this world. Fred Albert Fuchs and Arlene Charlotte Fuchs would After much sorrow be buried in one casket, the little one resting in the arms of the father. The obit with the story of there deaths and burial was listed in the Sept.1916 Pocahontas County Sun.
The first born child of Fred was Lloyd E Fuchs. This is were I need to remind you that Fred Albert Fuchs had an older brother of the name of Lloyd Also, but his Middle initial was G.(Lloyd G Fuchs). But we are talking about Lloyd E. Fuchs. He was born 16 April 1913 and After his father pasted away Lloyd was raised by his grandparents Charles and Anna Fuchs.
We do know that Lloyd E Fuchs changed the spelling of his last name to Fox. Lloyd was in the roller skating business as were many of his uncle's. Lloyd E as the family referred to him died 18 Feb. 1982 in Green Bay,Brown Co.,Wisconsin. The only reason that I know the name of Fred Albert Fuchs spouse name is it is listed in Fred's and Arlene's obituary.
Glenn M. Fuchs was his second born,not alot is know about Glenn, did he go live with his mother not sure? Glenn did enlist in the army according to military records on 28 Jan. 1942 the enlistment state Iowa but list Minnesota as his Native state at this time. He did enlist in Des Monies, Polk Co.,Iowa. On this enlistment paper's it says he had 3 years high school. and that he was a fork truck driver and married. Height 69" and weight 147lbs.
Arlene Charlotte Fuchs Was born Oct. 6, 1915 and died at the age of 10 months and 24 days on a train back to Iowa to bury her father. Arlene was buried in the arms of her father in Lauerns, Pocahontas Co.,Iowa (for more details see obit. below this entry).
Olive Kemp was not found. She probably remarried after Fred's dead and I don't have any record of her new married name, so I have not been able to track her. NEED HELP There!

Etta Mae Fuchs and Ward Smith daugther Etoyle Ann Fuch's

Etta Mae Fuch's and Ward Smith other daugther's name was Etoyle Ann Fuch's. What is knowed on Etoyle is that she was born June 4, 1914 in Lauerns,Pocahontas Co.,Iowa. Father Ward Smith,mother Ettea Mae Fuch's. Etoyle married a man name (Emarine). Then after that she married Alfred Luther Anderson,They lived in Albert City, Buenta Vista,Co.,Iowa.Etoyle Ann (Fuch's)Andersen died April 13, 1998 in Lauerns, Pocahontas Co.,Iowa.
Just a word on Etoyle second husband, Alfred Luther Anderson. He was born Nov.9,1905 in Iowa He was the son of Gustaf Fredic Anderson and mother Malhelmina Monson. Alfred was mary to Mary Carey on Feb. 15,1946 she died and then he married Etoyle Ann Smith-Emaurine, the daughter of Etta (Fuch's)and wars Smith.

Etta Mae Fuchs & Ward Smiths Childern

Etta Fuchs and Ward Smith had Two daughter's. Inez Maurine Smith was the first born, Inez was Born 13 Jan. 1909 She died 22 Sept. 1995. Inez married Clarence Anderson, They were not married long.Clarence Anderson was born 24 Nov.1905 and died Nov 1987 in Albert city,Buena Vista Co.,Iowa. Then She married Edward George Rouse he was born 30 April 1908 in Ayrshire, Palo Alto Co.,Iowa and died 20 May 1970.

Edward George Rouse and Inez were then married and were the parents of Allen D. Rouse. Allen was born 17 Oct.1929, and died 1980.
Edward and Etta are the parents also of Patrica A Rouse, She was born 11 Nov. 1932 and died in 1988 . She married a man name of (Hough). Sorry that is all I have on him. Etta Mae Fuchs Family

Etta Mae Fuchs was the first born child of Charles and Anna (Alborn) Fuchs. Etta was born in 1887 in or near Adel,Dallas Co.,Iowa. Etta Married Ward Allen Smith in 1907 at the age of 20. Etta and Ward were the parents of two daughter's. Inez Mauries Smith Born 13 Jan 1909 Dead 22 Sept. 1995. The other daughter was Etoyle Ann Smith born 4 June 1914 in Lauerns,Pocahontas Co.,Iowa and died on 13 April 1998 in Lauerns,Pocahontas Co.,Iowa. I will talk about the daughters later.

Etta Husband Ward Allen Smith was the son of Samual Harrison Smith and mother was Martha Cravens His parents were cousins. Ward was one of 11 childern. We will later see that Ward brother Wayne (Wave) Smith married one of Etta's Sister's (Ella Fuch's).

In the 1910 Census Ward and Etta was living in Swan Lake Township,Pocahontas Co.,Iowa He was married at age 26 to Etta. In 1900 before marriage he lived in Story Co. New Albany Township, Iowa.

I do not find a record of Etta (Fuch's) Ward dead. I wonder if Etta may have remarried after Ward died. I have no record of his dead either?

Charles Fuch's branch of the Fuch's

This Blog will mainly talk about the Charles G.Fuchs branch of this family because this is the branch that I come from. My father was the son of Charles and Anna Alborn. This name is Luverne Dale Fuch's,they call him Vern.

Charles Fuch's with this parents came to America when he was two years old. They settled in Lee Center, Lee Co.,Illinios, where he lived until he was fourteen years old.

He was united in marriage to Miss Anna Alborn in 1886. She was born near Perry,Iowa on August 27 1870. Charles and Anna lived in Dallas Co.,Iowa for five years. In the spring of 1891 they moved to a farm in Palo Alto Co.,Iowa where they lived for 30 years. In 1921 they moved to Lauerns,Pocahontas Co.,Iowa, where he resided until this death August 27, 1934. He was 69 years 11 months and 5 days old. Mrs Fuch's died at the home of her daughter Mrs Ernest Foster(Elizabeth) May 5, 1938 at age 68 years 8 months and 8 days.

Let me tell those that read this the the part of the Fuchs family that I am researching. Henry Fuchs was born April 10 1827 in Grandenborn,Germany. Henry met and married Martha Brissler in 1851 in Grandenborn, Germany. He came to America and settled in Lee Center,Lee Co.,Illinios.

These are Henry and Martha Fuchs. Henry and Martha immigrated to this country in 1867 and Settled in Lee Co.,Illinios, where he followed his trade as a stone mason for 10 years. He then moved to Iowa and located in the Washington Township,Perry,Dallas Co.,Iowa,where he lived until his death. He died Jan. 8, 1905. Martha died May 23, 1905.

The side of the Family that I am a dencendent is the Charles G Fuchs & Anna Martha Alborn.
