Lloyd G Fox Lloyd Fox was born in June of 1900 in Mallard, Palo Atlo Co.,Iowa. Lloyd parents are Charles G Fuchs and Anna Martha (Alborn) Fuchs. As you can see the last names are spell different Fuchs is the way Fox is pronounced in German. Lloyd and two other brothers Carl and Laverne (Vern) had the spelling of their last name changed to be easier for their family's as time when on. Lloyd was number 9 born to the union of Charles and Anna Fuchs. Lloyd was living in Sioux City,Woodberry Co.,Iowa in 1934 when his father Charles died. In 1938 he was living in Austin,Mower Co.,Minnesota when his mother died, for you see Lloyd in his younger years moved around alot because Lloyd also went into the roller skating business as did a number of the Fuchs/Fox family did. Lloyd stated working with this brothers Carl and this two younger brothers Otto and Laverne (Vern). I known that Lloyd ran skating rinks in Green Bay, Wisconsin also Camanche,Clinton Co.,Iowa.. While all of this was going on in his business life. Lloyd met Jessie Emerick a sister to his brother Carl wife Emma. Lloyd married her on December 18,1919. Lloyd and Jessie also helped in the raising of Lloyd younger brother Vern as he lived with Lloyd and Jessie family. At one point Lloyd was living in Des Moines, Iowa and working in the popcorn machine business. Lloyd moved to Omaha, Nebraska, He became the owner and operator of the crosstown roller rink there. Lloyd spent the rest of his time in Omaha working and raising his already growing family. Lloyd and Jessie were the parents of four sons and two daughters. Children Harlan Lloyd Fox Ralph Howard Fox Kenneth Ray Fox Clyde Wendell Fox Audrey Ann Fox Ardis Willetta Fox Jessie Emerick was born January 15,1900 in Cerro Gordo Co.,Iowa. Jessie father was George Emerick, mother Mattie (Fowler) Emerick Jessie Fox died October 29, 1968 in Omaha,Nebraska. Jessie was living in one side of a duplex and her son Ralph was living on the other side. Lloyd dead came on December 15 1958 at Grundy Center,Grundy Co.,Iowa. of a heart attack. Lloyd was helping watch his grand children, his son Kenneth wife was battling with cancer and would lose the battle. Lloyd was buried in Omaha, Nebraska. |
