Alice was the daughter of George Franklin Kemp and Elizabeth Workman. Alice was born March 3,1900 in Laurens,Pocahontas Co.,Iowa and died May 24, 1989 in Pocahontas Community Hospital,Pocahontas Co.,Iowa.
William Fuchs was considered the branch of the family that were the fighters. They did not let anyone mistreat them, also a family that liked a good practical joke or fun to be around.
Next are the thoughts and memories of one of William son's
Dad was a hard working, and a very good farmer. Dad was honest and his word was as good as gold. He was a good father, any of us boys could go to him anytime and get advise or assistance and we did often. He lived in tough times during the drought and depression but always took care of his family. He at times had to be rough with some people but always looked out for the little man. I found out after dad's dead just how good he had been to people he hardly knew. On many occasions he butchered hogs during those depression years, and gave them to people that were having difficult times. Mom and dad also gave canned goods, potatoes, grapes and corn to these people.
