Grace was born in Booth township,Palo Alto Co.,Iowa in abt 1889. Grace was the eighth child born to Charles Fuchs and Anna (Alborn) Fuchs. Grace was raised on the family farm along with her other sibling. Grace married Martin Udesen. We know that Martin Immigrated to this country with his family in 1903 from Denmark. Martin parents were Ole Udesen born in Taulov,Denmark on August 31, 1845 and his mother name was Josie Jenson.
Grace and Martin Udesen were living in Booth township,Palo Alto Co.,Iowa in 1920 and are the parents of two sons Martin and Harold.
Grace husband Martin Udesen sign up his registration card for WW I on the September 17, 1918 and lists his and his family address as rural 2 Laurens,Iowa. Lists his occupation as farmer. His Height as tall, build as slender, eyes as blue, and hair as light brown.
Grace and Martin Udeson were the parents of a total of six children. martin later in life became involved in the roller skating Business also I know that they did live in Musactine,Iowa for a time operating a skating rink. Martin Also operated a rink in called the curling building in Duluth,Minnesota. that is where he live in his later years.

After Grace Dead Martin at some point did remarry a woman by the name of Flora Bell that called her Flore, they had no chidren of their own. Martin dead came on June 5, 1973 in Duluth Saint Louis Co.,Minnesota.

Marvin was the first born child of Martin and Grace (Fuchs) Udesen. Marvin was born December 2, 1917 at the time Martin and Grace were living in Palo Alto Co.,Iowa. In November on the 28, of 1941 Marvin Enlisted in the Armed Forces It lists Linn Co.,Iowa as the county he is living in. Marion, Iowa is where is mother died in 1938 and that to is in Linn Co, so he must have been living in the area of Marion. Martin Enlisted at Fort Des Moines (Des Moines, Iowa) in the Army. His education is listed as 3 years high school his occupation as a tire re builder. He listed that he was single and no dependents, his height 72" weight 164.

Lorraine was born in Saint Louis Co. of Minnesota and that she died in New Hope, Hennepin Co, this is a suburb of Minneapois, Minnesota. According to Social Security records her last residence was Rogers,Minnesota that is just northwest of Minneapolis,Minnesota. I do know that in July of 1953 That they were living in the St. Paul Area because they had a son born in Ramey Co.,Minnesota and a daughter was born in Lyon Co.,Minnesota in 1957 the daughter is married and a mother of two children. Lorraine Ruth Ledue was born May 26,1923 in Saint Louis Co.,Minnesota and died in New Hope,Hennepin Co.,Minnesota on October 31, 2001.
Harold A Udesen
Harold was the second born for Martin and Grace Udesen. Harold was born April 10,1919 in Booth township,Palo Alto Co., Iowa. In the 1920 census for Booth township Harold is listed as being 8 months old. I'm missing a lot of time in his life. I do know that he married to Shirley Rose Rasmussen. Shirley was born abt 1926 in Minnesota. In 1930 she was living in Minneopolis,Minnesota age 4 with her parents, William from Denmark and his mother Olga from Sweden. After Harold and Shirley were married. A son Richard Luvern Udesen was born September 1,1947 in Saint Louis Co.,Minnesota This is the County that Duluth is in and also where the family lived.
Lois Udesen
Lois was born March 18,1921 in Laurens,Pocahontas Co.,Iowa. Lois father wad martin Udesen and mother Grace (Fuchs) Udesen. Lois married Robert Van Orsdol May 12, in Xenia,Greene Co.,Ohio. Lois died August 12, 1978 in Blackduck,Beltrami Co.,Minnesota. Lois is also buried their. Blackduck is a small town in the northern part of Minnesota. Lois husband Robert Was born February 5, 1918 in Rowley, Buchanan Co.,Iowa. Robert father name was Jay L Van Orsdol and mother was Ruby.
Robert Van Orsdol related these facts to me about Lois and his life. They started a probable roller skating rink in Cedar Rapids,Iowa and it didn't go well as well as they had hope, It was only open about one month. Robert went to work somewhere else for awhile then tried the roller skating business again,with the same results. Then Robert and Lois were living in Omaha,Nebraska and he went to work for A&P grocery stores. Lloyd Fox Lois mother's brother was in Omaha, Nebraska and told him he would give him all the equipment he would need to open a rink in Red Oak, Iowa , Robert and Lois ran that rink for about a year. They sold the rink out there because Robert thought he was going into the army but they turn him down. After that he went on the road working for a drug company selling. then he quit that job and went back to Beatrice,Nebraska for 8 years and ran another roller skating rink. Then Robert and Lois sold out of the rink business in Beatrice and went to Waukesha, Wisconsin to build a roller rink instead he went to work for Blue Cross Blue Shield and retired their in 1978.
Lois and Robert were the parents of 3 sons and one daughter The first child was a boy and born in Cedars Rapids, Iowa.The second son born in Omaha, Nebraska, the three was their only daughter born in Beatrice, Nebraska and the last son also born in 1953.
Darwin Udesen
At this point I must admit the the fact on him are few! This is still a work in progress.
Darwin was born June 23,1923 and died in Feb 1963 in Minnesota. Darwin enlistment record for WW II shows that he was born in Iowa and on December 14, 1942 At Fort Snelling in Minneapolis, Minnesota. Darwin was living in St Louis Co ,Minnesota he was only 19 years old. it also lists that he had 4 years of high school and was working as a tire re builder. Darwin also work for a time in the roller skating business with the Fuchs/Fox brother who were his uncle's his mothers brother's Carl, Otto, Laverne. Darwin was married to a Doris have no last name.
Lavone Grace Udesen
Lavone Grace Udesen was born February 9, 1925. At this point i know that Lavone Udesen married Melvin Leichsenring. Melvin was born in 1923 in York Township, Iowa Co.,Iowa,Melvin appears to have come from around the Amana Colonies area, west of Iowa City area. Lavone and Melvin lived in the Cedar Rapids, Iowa area, Lavone died in Mesa, Arizona December 14, 1995. Lavone social security were being paid out to a Cedar Rapids,Iowa. Lavone husband Melvin died in July of 1981 and also show that they were living in Cedar Rapids area because this is where his social security benefits were paid.
I'm not sure if their are any children from this marriage?

Dauane Udesen was born October 12, 1926 in Laurens, Pocahontas Co.,Iowa, his nick name was Buddy. His parents were Martin Udesen and Grace (Fuchs) Udesen. Dauane was the youngest of 6 children 4 brothers and two sisters. Dauane Married Helen Louise Berg on December 27, 1950 in Duluth, Saint Louis Co.,Minnesota. Helen Berg was born in Duluth, Minnesota. Helen died January 14, 1990 in Duluth, Minnesota. Dauane and Helen are the parents of three sons.
Of their three son the middle son Gary John has died, Gary was born August 6, 1956 in Saint Louis Co.,Minnesota and was married and divorced To Mary Gail McMahon. Their are no children. Gary died September 6, 2005 in Duluth, Minnesota.

Home's of Carl and Emma Fox
The house on the left is a Quonset Hut type house that Carl had invested in making in this Christmas picture Carl and Emma were living in during the building of their new home.The picture on the right is the house that they built right on the lake front in Clear Lake,Iowa.
This house when it was built was state or the art 135,000 in the 1954. It is Still owned by the family and is across the street from the Surf ballroom.

Carl J Fox
Carl J Fox
Carl J Fox was Born on December 18, 1895 in Laurens,Pocahontas Co.,Iowa. Carl along with only two other brother had the spelling of their last name changed from Fuchs to Fox for the ease and convenience of them and their family's.
Carl was raised in the Laurens,Iowa area. When Carl stated out on his own he decided to go into the roller skating business. Carl first portable roller skating rink was in Sutherland, O'Brien Co.,Iowa about 30miles from his home of Laurens. Portable Roller rinks back in the time Carl Fox stated were like a big old circus tent with a probable floor installed for the skater's they also used clap on skate's, These are State's that hooked on to and strapped on to your own shoes.
My father Vern Fox has told the story that starting out Carl went to his father and ask Charles to borrow money from from him to start, his father told him that he would not loan him money for a fly by night stating rink. Before Carl moved on from the rink business the expansion continued until he had rinks in 93 location.
Carl father later commented that Carl had been so successful that later in life Carl could buy and sell his father at least ten time's.
Later then Carl started into a venture with a dance ballroom and amusement park in Leroy,Minnesota. Carl then started building and selling portable rinks. Carl has commented that he made and lost several fortunes.
Carl with borrowed funds built the original surf Ballroom in Clear Lake,Iowa in 1933 four years later he enlarged it.. Carl also built ballrooms in St. Paul and Austin Minnesota. Carl went on to sell the Surf in Clear Lake, Iowa in December of 1946. Since Carl's retiring from the ballroom business He invested in other fields. He owned a bowling alley in Austin, Minnesota. Store's in Minneapolis,Minnesota. At the time of his death he was president and chairman or the board of H and H manufacturing Co. at Joplin, Jasper Co.,Missouri.. They were builder's of Restaurant furnishing. Carl died on August 19, 1966 he was in Joplin Missouri at this time. He was buried in the town that he lived in Clear Lake, Cerro Gordo Co.,Iowa on August 22, 1966 in Memorial Park Cemetery.
Carl married Emma Gertrude Emerick in 1918. Emma was born on August 18, 1897 in Rush Lake Township town of Mallard,Palo Alto Co.,Iowa. Emma was the daughter of George Emerick born in Pennsylvania in February 1865. Martha Fowler was her mother, she was called Mattie and was born in December of 1867 in Ohio. Emma had two sisters Mildred and Jessie Emerick. Emma sister Jessie will marry Carl brother Lloyd G. Fox. Back to Carl and Emma Fox, she died on July 26, 1979 in Clear Lake,Palo Alto Co.,Iowa. She was buried on July 30, 1979 in Clear Lake Memorial Park Cemetery along with her husband Carl.

Dian Warren was born from this union. Maxine was then married for a very short time to James Poole. She later went on to marry Jim Cook on April 26, 1967 and has been married to Jim until this writing (2007). Jim was born May 30, 1923 in North Carolina. Jim was in the automobile business.
Dian Maxine daughter was born in St Paul,Minnesota Dian was a math teacher of High school and Jr.High students. The first year she taught school, she found out that a boy in her class had a knife on him. She reported it to the principals office and she was told that she was wrong! their were 32 in her class with knife's. She finished out that year of teaching at that school, but did a lot of teaching from near the door way.
Dian married Charles Westerberg April 10, 1971 the marriage ended in divorced,But they are the parents of one daughter and one son. Dian married Don Bebber and are married at the time of this writing (2007)

Sarah Fuchs Charles Fuch's daughter
Sarah Fuchs died as an infant as you can see from the only picture that I have of her. Her life was less than 5 months old. Sarah is laid to rest in a small country cemetery west of Laurens,Pocahontas Co.,Iowa. I believe my father, Sarah older brother told me she died of pneumonia?

Ella was born October 23, 1891 at Adel,Dallas Co.,Iowa. The 1895 census show Ella to be 4 years old and living in Booth Township Palo Alto Co. In 1905 Ella was living. in Booth Township,Palo Alto Co.,Iowa also. Ella was married in 1909 in Pocahontas Co.,Iowa to Wayne (Wave) Smith. Wave was born on August 1, 1882 in Guthrie Co.,Iowa. In 1900 Wave was listed as a servant most likely a farm hand because he was working for a farmer at the age of 18, Wave is listed as living in New Albany township, Story County,Iowa in the town of Colo. On September 12, 1918 Wave filled out his WW 1 registration card an was living in Walnut Grove,Redwood Co.,Minnesota, He listed his occupation as farmer and his nearest living relative As Ella Smith. Wave listed his weight as medium, build medium, color of eye brown dark brown. In 1920 Ella and Wave are found living in Johnsonville Township,Redwood Co.,Minnesota. Ella is 29 years of age and Wave is 37. They are also the parents of two sons. In 1930 Ella and Wave are living in North Hus Township of Redwood Co.,Minnesota, they are farmer and have three children now. They have a daughter to go along with there to sons. In the obituary of Ella father Charles in 1934 and the obituary of Anna here mother in 1938 She was living in Walnut Grove,Redwood Co.,Minnesota.
Ella husband Wave died January 31, 1965 in Mountain Lake, Cottonwood Co.,Minnesota.
Wayne Charles Smith
Wayne was the first born child born to Ella and Wayne (Wave) Smith. Abt 1912 or 1913 in Iowa. I have had trouble contacting anyone in this family.The 1920 census of Johnsonville Township in Redwood Co.,Minnesota lists. Wayne as 7 years old and living their with his parents and younger bother Dale Marvin who age is 4/12 years old, by 1930 Wayne is 17 and living in North Hero Township,Walnut Grove, Redwood Co. in Minnesota. Wayne married Leona Lily Gilb on May 28, 1936 in Brooking,Brooking Co.,South Dakota Leona was 21 years old and Wayne was 23. At the time of the marriage Wayne listed he was living in Walnut Grove, Redwood Co., Minnesota and Leona was living in Tracy Lyon Co.,Minnesota. Leona was born in Minnesota Abt 1915, wish I was more sure on the date? Children 6: 1 daughter and 5 sons.

In 1905 Ella was living. in Booth Township,Palo Alto Co.,Iowa also. Ella was married in 1909 in Pocahontas Co.,Iowa to Wayne (Wave) Smith. Wave was born on August 1, 1882 in Guthrie Co.,Iowa. In 1900 Wave was listed as a servant most likely a farm hand because he was working for a farmer at the age of 18, Wave is listed as living in New Albany township, Story County,Iowa in the town of Colo. On September 12, 1918 Wave filled out his WW 1 registration card an was living in Walnut Grove,Redwood Co.,Minnesota, He listed his occupation as farmer and his nearest living relative As Ella Smith. Wave listed his weight as medium, build medium, color of eye brown dark brown. In 1920 Ella and Wave are found living in Johnsonville Township,Redwood Co.,Minnesota. Ella is 29 years of age and Wave is 37. They are also the parents of two sons. In 1930 Ella and Wave are living in North Hus Township of Redwood Co.,Minnesota, they are farmer and have three children now. They have a daughter to go along with there to sons. In the obituary of Ella father Charles in 1934 and the obituary of Anna here mother in 1938 She was living in Walnut Grove,Redwood Co.,Minnesota.
Ella husband Wave died January 31, 1965 in Mountain Lake, Cottonwood Co.,Minnesota.

I have had trouble contacting anyone in this family.The 1920 census of Johnsonville Township in Redwood Co.,Minnesota lists. Wayne as 7 years old and living their with his parents and younger bother Dale Marvin who age is 4/12 years old, by 1930 Wayne is 17 and living in North Hero Township,Walnut Grove, Redwood Co. in Minnesota. Wayne married Leona Lily Gilb on May 28, 1936 in Brooking,Brooking Co.,South Dakota Leona was 21 years old and Wayne was 23. At the time of the marriage Wayne listed he was living in Walnut Grove, Redwood Co., Minnesota and Leona was living in Tracy Lyon Co.,Minnesota. Leona was born in Minnesota Abt 1915, wish I was more sure on the date? Children 6: 1 daughter and 5 sons.

Darlow was raised in the Laurens,Iowa area with his family. After high school Darlow joined the Navy and service his time out in the navy, then held variety of job with the united state government.
Darlow married Donna Jean Ryon, Donna was born April 2, 1935. Donna parents are John and Bernice Frances (Oleson) Ryon. Darlow and Donna are the parents of four sons and one daughter.

Kenneth was the first born of Darlow and Donna Fuchs. Kenneth was born June 28, 1953 in Emmetsburg, Palo Alto Co.,Iowa. Kenneth married Judith Ann Van camp October 9, 1976 in Groom, Maryland. Judith was from Severna Park, Maryland they were later divorced in 1993. While they were married they became the parents of one son who was born in Maryland.

He was employed in Agriculture sales for Grimstead Swine service of Camerson,Missouri. He was a long time resident of Baxter,Jasper Co.,Iowa. Jim died on September 17, 1992 at the age of 61 years of age, following a heart attack while driving on Iowa 330 in Jasper Co.,Iowa
Jim was laid to rest at the Ashton Chapel Cemetery about 7 miles west of Baxter off of county road F-17.
Betty Lou Chamber his wife was born in Bode, Humboldt Co.,Iowa on Febuary 20, 1930 to Joseph Chambers and Matilda Haugen. After the passing of her mother Betty Lou Cambers when to live and be raised by her mother's sister and her husband Elmer Tyler and Amada Tyler from Laurens,Pocahontas Co.,Iowa.

Elizabeth Ethel Fuchs was the Six Child born to Charles and Anna (Alborn) Fuchs. Elizabeth was born March 12, 1894 in Laurens,Pocahontas Co.,Iowa. and passed away September 26, 1970 at the Pocahontas Manor following an extended Illness. Elizabeth had been in the Buena Vista hospital in Storm Lake prior to moving to the care center in Pocahontas. She was buried in the Laurens, Iowa Cemetery on September 29, 1970.
She married Ernest Leroy Foster August 5, 1915 at Nevada,Story Co.,Iowa, they farmed in Minnesota and the Laurens and Pomeroy Area's of Iowa before retiring about 1965 in Laurens,Iowa. Elizabeth was a member of the United Methodist church. and the order of Eastern Star. At the time of her dead she was 76. Elizabeth had attended rural schools in the area

Ernest died May 26,1980 and was buried in Laurens, Iowa on May 28,1980. After the dead of Elizabeth died in 1970 Ernest married Mae Martin November 25,1972.

Donald Was the first born of Elizabeth and Ernest Foster. Donald was born December 27,1916 in Redwood Co.,Minnesota. Later Donald would be married to Carolyn Schmidt on November 30, 1952 in Ayrshire, Palo Alto Co.,Iowa. Donald and Carolyn were later divorce, doing their marriage They became the parents of two daughter and three son all being born between the years of 1953-1968. at this writing they are all married except the youngest child. Donald Foster died February 2, 1985 in Estherville, Emmet Co.,Iowa and is buried in Laurens, Iowa. Carolyn J Schmidt the wife of Donald was born November 27,1934 in Emmetsburg,Palo Alto Co.,Iowa they were married nearly 25 years and then divorced in December of 1977. Carolyn did remarried a man name Johnson and are living in northwest Iowa.

Dell was born March 31, 1922 in Wanda, Redwood Co., Minnesota. Dell died on October 17,1971 in is cabin in Litchfield,Meeter Co.,Minnesota of a heart attack He was Buried on October 21,1971 in St. Paul Minnesota. Buried in Fort Snelling Veterans Cemetery Section L Site 2399. Dell had suffer a heart attack 9 years before his dead that incapacitated him for two years, he had suffer another heart attack two weeks before this dead. He was scheduled to under go heart surgery the week that he died.
Dell was a 1940 graduate of Laurens,Iowa high school. Dell also had been Employed by sear and roebuck and co. in the Minneapolis area for 5 years before his heart attack in 1962 as a sale man.
Dell married Gladys M Grande daughter of Leroy M Grande and Nina C Grande she was born in 1923 in Hennepin Co.,Minnesota. Dell and Gladys are the parents of two daughters.
Dell did serve in England with the Air Force during WW 2 from Nov 4,1942 to Nov 1945. He later received a degree in agronomy from Iowa State U. in Ames, Iowa. He serve as assistant co.Extension director at Independence,Iowa before joining Cargill of Duluth Minnesota.

They had one son Roger was born August 18 1949 in Jefferson, Greene Co.,Iowa, Roger died from a horse accident at a freinds house at the time of Rogers dead he was only 6 years old on August 12,1955 in Grand Juction, Iowa.Beth and Jim also had three daughters all three Daughter's were born in Wanda,Minnesota. Later they moved to Grand Juction, Iowa. After Jim pass away Beth moved to the Ames, Iowa area.

Ardis a Foster was born on September 28, 1926 in Wanda, Redwood Co.,Minnesota. Ardis Married Cecil Hanisch November 10, 1947 in Havelock,Pocahontas Co.,Iowa. Cecil was the son of Edward Hanisch and Helen J Bloudil in Laurens Iowa. Cecil was born June 28, 1920.
Ardis and Cecil are the parents of five children one son then four daughter's. Two of their children were born in Emmetsburg, Palo Alto Co.,Iowa and the other three were born in Storm Lake, Buena Vista Co.,Iowa.

Lyle was born February 19, 1928 in Wanda, Redwood Co.,Minnesota along with his twin brother Lynn. Lyle and his family moved to a farm north of Laurens, Iowa in 1929. In 1949 they again moved to another farm north of their. He attended school graduating from Ware High school in Ware, Iowain 1945. Lyle married Lavonne Shaveland daughter of William M Shaveland and Cara A Kern on August 19,1950 in Mallard, Palo Alto Co.,Iowa. Lavonne Shaveland was born November 18, 1930 in Mallard, Palo Alto Co.,Iowa. Lyle attend Buena Vista College for one year before enlisting in the Navy for two years, after that he completed his education receiving a BA degree from Buena Vista College and a Masters from Drake University After Lyle married Lavonne, they spent 10 years farming near Mallard,Iowa. Lyle also taught at Des Moines Township,Havelock,Plover,Pocahontas,Rolfe, and Sioux city for a total of 39 years, 20 of those years were in Pocahontas.
Lyle also worked as a crop hail adjuster for farmers mutual hail Ins. of Des Moines during the summer months from 1969 to 1988.
Lyle was a member of the Lutheran faith.
Lyle died on July 28,2000 in Nashville,Davidson Co.,Tennessee. Lyle was buried in Laurens, Iowa.

I myself call and talked To Lynn and received the information on his life. Lynn married Maris Peterson on February 16,1950 in Albert city, Buena Vista Co.,Iowa. Mavis was born March 17, 1930 in Albert City. Her parents were Waldemar Peterson and Esther Gustaf son.
They are the parents of three Sons and two daughters. Lynn and his wife stay in the area that they raised their 5 children.

Elizabeth had been in the Buena Vista hospital in Storm Lake prior to moving to the care center in Pocahontas. She was buried in the Laurens, Iowa Cemetery on September 29, 1970.
She married Ernest Leroy Foster August 5, 1915 at Nevada,Story Co.,Iowa, they farmed in Minnesota and the Laurens and Pomeroy Area's of Iowa before retiring about 1965 in Laurens,Iowa. Elizabeth was a member of the United Methodist church. and the order of Eastern Star. At the time of her dead she was 76. Elizabeth had attended rural schools in the area
At the time of Elizabeth dead she was survived by her husband Ernest Foster. Ernest Leroy Foster was born December 12, 1895 at Kelley,Boone Co,.Iowa,The son of Frank and Tina Foster. Ernest died May 26,1980 and was buried in Laurens, Iowa on May 28,1980. After the dead of Elizabeth died in 1970 Ernest married Mae Martin November 25,1972.
Elizabeth and Ernest Are the Parents of two daughters and Six sons.
Donald E Foster
Donald Was the first born of Elizabeth and Ernest Foster. Donald was born December 27,1916 in Redwood Co.,Minnesota. Later Donald would be married to Carolyn Schmidt on November 30, 1952 in Ayrshire, Palo Alto Co.,Iowa. Donald and Carolyn were later divorce, doing their marriage They became the parents of two daughter and three son all being born between the years of 1953-1968. at this writing they are all married except the youngest child. Donald Foster died February 2, 1985 in Estherville, Emmet Co.,Iowa and is buried in Laurens, Iowa. Carolyn J Schmidt the wife of Donald was born November 27,1934 in Emmetsburg,Palo Alto Co.,Iowa they were married nearly 25 years and then divorced in December of 1977. Carolyn did remarried a man name Johnson and are living in northwest Iowa.
Merle C Foster
Merle C was the second born. His birth came on September 23, 1918 In Wanda,Redwood Co.,Minnesota Merle dead is listed as October 29, 1972 in American Falls,Power Co.,Idaho. Merle was never married. Merle had a lot of Medical issues to deal with in his life.
Ernest Fay Foster
Ernest Fay was born in Redwood Co.,Minnesota March 15,1920. He was mostly called Fay Foster growing up because his father first name was Ernest also Ernest went on to marry Lois Jewett abt 1942 in Missouri and their marriage later ended in a divorce.Lois was born March 8,1920 in Grand Junction, Green Co.,Iowa Ernest Fay Foster and Lois (Jewell) Foster are the parents of two daughter and one son's Ernest Fay died January 8, 1975. Fay was buried in Laurens, Pocahontas Co.,Iowa.
Their daughter Donna J Foster was born April 23, 1947, Donna was mentally challenged and in a home for the mentally challenged. Donna died Dec. 15,1997. Last known residence was Clear Lake,Cerro Gordo Co.,Iowa. She was buried in Jefferson,Green Co.,Iowa.
Dell Leroy Foster
Dell was born March 31, 1922 in Wanda, Redwood Co., Minnesota. Dell died on October 17,1971 in is cabin in Litchfield,Meeter Co.,Minnesota of a heart attack He was Buried on October 21,1971 in St. Paul Minnesota. Buried in Fort Snelling Veterans Cemetery Section L Site 2399. Dell had suffer a heart attack 9 years before his dead that incapacitated him for two years, he had suffer another heart attack two weeks before this dead. He was scheduled to under go heart surgery the week that he died.
Dell was a 1940 graduate of Laurens,Iowa high school. Dell also had been Employed by sear and roebuck and co. in the Minneapolis area for 5 years before his heart attack in 1962 as a sale man.
Dell married Gladys M Grande daughter of Leroy M Grande and Nina C Grande she was born in 1923 in Hennepin Co.,Minnesota. Dell and Gladys are the parents of two daughters.
Dell did serve in England with the Air Force during WW 2 from Nov 4,1942 to Nov 1945. He later received a degree in agronomy from Iowa State U. in Ames, Iowa. He serve as assistant co.Extension director at Independence,Iowa before joining Cargill of Duluth Minnesota.
Beth J Foster
Beth was born January 24, 1924 in Wanda, Redwood Co., Minnesota. Beth was married to James Stevenson August 29,1948 in Grand Junction,Greene Co.,Iowa .Jim was born on May 14, 1921 in Grand City,Worth Co.,Missouri. Jim died May 14 1987 in Grand Juction, Greene Co.,Iowa
Beth and Jim were farmer they lived in Wanda, Minnesota for many years. They had one son Roger was born August 18 1949 in Jefferson, Greene Co.,Iowa, Roger died from a horse accident at a freinds house at the time of Rogers dead he was only 6 years old on August 12,1955 in Grand Juction, Iowa.Beth and Jim also had three daughters all three Daughter's were born in Wanda,Minnesota. Later they moved to Grand Juction, Iowa. After Jim pass away Beth moved to the Ames, Iowa area.
Ardis A Foster
Ardis a Foster was born on September 28, 1926 in Wanda, Redwood Co.,Minnesota. Ardis Married Cecil Hanisch November 10, 1947 in Havelock,Pocahontas Co.,Iowa. Cecil was the son of Edward Hanisch and Helen J Bloudil in Laurens Iowa. Cecil was born June 28, 1920.
Ardis and Cecil are the parents of five children one son then four daughter's. Two of their children were born in Emmetsburg, Palo Alto Co.,Iowa and the other three were born in Storm Lake, Buena Vista Co.,Iowa.
Lyle Gerald Foster Twin
Lyle was born February 19, 1928 in Wanda, Redwood Co.,Minnesota along with his twin brother Lynn. Lyle and his family moved to a farm north of Laurens, Iowa in 1929. In 1949 they again moved to another farm north of their. He attended school graduating from Ware High school in Ware, Iowain 1945. Lyle married Lavonne Shaveland daughter of William M Shaveland and Cara A Kern on August 19,1950 in Mallard, Palo Alto Co.,Iowa. Lavonne Shaveland was born November 18, 1930 in Mallard, Palo Alto Co.,Iowa. Lyle attend Buena Vista College for one year before enlisting in the Navy for two years, after that he completed his education receiving a BA degree from Buena Vista College and a Masters from Drake University After Lyle married Lavonne, they spent 10 years farming near Mallard,Iowa. Lyle also taught at Des Moines Township,Havelock,Plover,Pocahontas,Rolfe, and Sioux city for a total of 39 years, 20 of those years were in Pocahontas.
Lyle also worked as a crop hail adjuster for farmers mutual hail Ins. of Des Moines during the summer months from 1969 to 1988.
Lyle was a member of the Lutheran faith.
Lyle died on July 28,2000 in Nashville,Davidson Co.,Tennessee. Lyle was buried in Laurens, Iowa.
Lyle and Lavonne are the parents of one son and a daughter
After the dead of Lyle on March 20, 2004 Lavonne remarried Carl Heldt in Mallard, Iowa.
Lynn M Foster
Lynn M Foster is a twin to Lyle Foster so He to was born February 19,1928 in Wanda,Redwood Co.,Minnesota. He is also the last child born to Elizabeth (Fuchs) Foster and Ernest Foster. I myself call and talked To Lynn and received the information on his life. Lynn married Maris Peterson on February 16,1950 in Albert city, Buena Vista Co.,Iowa. Mavis was born March 17, 1930 in Albert City. Her parents were Waldemar Peterson and Esther Gustaf son.
They are the parents of three Sons and two daughters. Lynn and his wife stay in the area that they raised their 5 children.
