Elizabeth Ethel Fuchs

Elizabeth Ethel Fuchs was the Six Child born to Charles and Anna (Alborn) Fuchs. Elizabeth was born March 12, 1894 in Laurens,Pocahontas Co.,Iowa. and passed away September 26, 1970 at the Pocahontas Manor following an extended Illness. Elizabeth had been in the Buena Vista hospital in Storm Lake prior to moving to the care center in Pocahontas. She was buried in the Laurens, Iowa Cemetery on September 29, 1970.

She married Ernest Leroy Foster August 5, 1915 at Nevada,Story Co.,Iowa, they farmed in Minnesota and the Laurens and Pomeroy Area's of Iowa before retiring about 1965 in Laurens,Iowa. Elizabeth was a member of the United Methodist church. and the order of Eastern Star. At the time of her dead she was 76. Elizabeth had attended rural schools in the area

At the time of Elizabeth dead she was survived by her husband Ernest Foster. Ernest Leroy Foster was born December 12, 1895 at Kelley,Boone Co,.Iowa,The son of Frank and Tina Foster. Ernest died May 26,1980 and was buried in Laurens, Iowa on May 28,1980. After the dead of Elizabeth died in 1970 Ernest married Mae Martin November 25,1972.

Elizabeth and Ernest Are the Parents of two daughters and Six sons.

Donald E Foster
Donald Was the first born of Elizabeth and Ernest Foster. Donald was born December 27,1916 in Redwood Co.,Minnesota. Later Donald would be married to Carolyn Schmidt on November 30, 1952 in Ayrshire, Palo Alto Co.,Iowa. Donald and Carolyn were later divorce, doing their marriage They became the parents of two daughter and three son all being born between the years of 1953-1968. at this writing they are all married except the youngest child. Donald Foster died February 2, 1985 in Estherville, Emmet Co.,Iowa and is buried in Laurens, Iowa. Carolyn J Schmidt the wife of Donald was born November 27,1934 in Emmetsburg,Palo Alto Co.,Iowa they were married nearly 25 years and then divorced in December of 1977. Carolyn did remarried a man name Johnson and are living in northwest Iowa.

Merle C Foster
Merle C was the second born. His birth came on September 23, 1918 In Wanda,Redwood Co.,Minnesota Merle dead is listed as October 29, 1972 in American Falls,Power Co.,Idaho. Merle was never married. Merle had a lot of Medical issues to deal with in his life.


Ernest Fay Foster

Ernest Fay was born in Redwood Co.,Minnesota March 15,1920. He was mostly called Fay Foster growing up because his father first name was Ernest also Ernest went on to marry Lois Jewett abt 1942 in Missouri and their marriage later ended in a divorce.Lois was born March 8,1920 in Grand Junction, Green Co.,Iowa Ernest Fay Foster and Lois (Jewell) Foster are the parents of two daughter and one son's Ernest Fay died January 8, 1975. Fay was buried in Laurens, Pocahontas Co.,Iowa.

Their daughter Donna J Foster was born April 23, 1947, Donna was mentally challenged and in a home for the mentally challenged. Donna died Dec. 15,1997. Last known residence was Clear Lake,Cerro Gordo Co.,Iowa. She was buried in Jefferson,Green Co.,Iowa.



Dell Leroy Foster

Dell was born March 31, 1922 in Wanda, Redwood Co., Minnesota. Dell died on October 17,1971 in is cabin in Litchfield,Meeter Co.,Minnesota of a heart attack He was Buried on October 21,1971 in St. Paul Minnesota. Buried in Fort Snelling Veterans Cemetery Section L Site 2399. Dell had suffer a heart attack 9 years before his dead that incapacitated him for two years, he had suffer another heart attack two weeks before this dead. He was scheduled to under go heart surgery the week that he died.

Dell was a 1940 graduate of Laurens,Iowa high school. Dell also had been Employed by sear and roebuck and co. in the Minneapolis area for 5 years before his heart attack in 1962 as a sale man.

Dell married Gladys M Grande daughter of Leroy M Grande and Nina C Grande she was born in 1923 in Hennepin Co.,Minnesota. Dell and Gladys are the parents of two daughters.

Dell did serve in England with the Air Force during WW 2 from Nov 4,1942 to Nov 1945. He later received a degree in agronomy from Iowa State U. in Ames, Iowa. He serve as assistant co.Extension director at Independence,Iowa before joining Cargill of Duluth Minnesota.



Beth J Foster

Beth was born January 24, 1924 in Wanda, Redwood Co., Minnesota. Beth was married to James Stevenson August 29,1948 in Grand Junction,Greene Co.,Iowa .Jim was born on May 14, 1921 in Grand City,Worth Co.,Missouri. Jim died May 14 1987 in Grand Juction, Greene Co.,Iowa


Beth and Jim were farmer they lived in Wanda, Minnesota for many years. They had one son Roger was born August 18 1949 in Jefferson, Greene Co.,Iowa, Roger died from a horse accident at a freinds house at the time of Rogers dead he was only 6 years old on August 12,1955 in Grand Juction, Iowa.Beth and Jim also had three daughters all three Daughter's were born in Wanda,Minnesota. Later they moved to Grand Juction, Iowa. After Jim pass away Beth moved to the Ames, Iowa area.





Ardis A Foster

Ardis a Foster was born on September 28, 1926 in Wanda, Redwood Co.,Minnesota. Ardis Married Cecil Hanisch November 10, 1947 in Havelock,Pocahontas Co.,Iowa. Cecil was the son of Edward Hanisch and Helen J Bloudil in Laurens Iowa. Cecil was born June 28, 1920.



Ardis and Cecil are the parents of five children one son then four daughter's. Two of their children were born in Emmetsburg, Palo Alto Co.,Iowa and the other three were born in Storm Lake, Buena Vista Co.,Iowa.





Lyle Gerald Foster Twin

Lyle was born February 19, 1928 in Wanda, Redwood Co.,Minnesota along with his twin brother Lynn. Lyle and his family moved to a farm north of Laurens, Iowa in 1929. In 1949 they again moved to another farm north of their. He attended school graduating from Ware High school in Ware, Iowain 1945. Lyle married Lavonne Shaveland daughter of William M Shaveland and Cara A Kern on August 19,1950 in Mallard, Palo Alto Co.,Iowa. Lavonne Shaveland was born November 18, 1930 in Mallard, Palo Alto Co.,Iowa. Lyle attend Buena Vista College for one year before enlisting in the Navy for two years, after that he completed his education receiving a BA degree from Buena Vista College and a Masters from Drake University After Lyle married Lavonne, they spent 10 years farming near Mallard,Iowa. Lyle also taught at Des Moines Township,Havelock,Plover,Pocahontas,Rolfe, and Sioux city for a total of 39 years, 20 of those years were in Pocahontas.

Lyle also worked as a crop hail adjuster for farmers mutual hail Ins. of Des Moines during the summer months from 1969 to 1988.

Lyle was a member of the Lutheran faith.

Lyle died on July 28,2000 in Nashville,Davidson Co.,Tennessee. Lyle was buried in Laurens, Iowa.

Lyle and Lavonne are the parents of one son and a daughter

After the dead of Lyle on March 20, 2004 Lavonne remarried Carl Heldt in Mallard, Iowa.



Lynn M Foster

Lynn M Foster is a twin to Lyle Foster so He to was born February 19,1928 in Wanda,Redwood Co.,Minnesota. He is also the last child born to Elizabeth (Fuchs) Foster and Ernest Foster. I myself call and talked To Lynn and received the information on his life. Lynn married Maris Peterson on February 16,1950 in Albert city, Buena Vista Co.,Iowa. Mavis was born March 17, 1930 in Albert City. Her parents were Waldemar Peterson and Esther Gustaf son.

They are the parents of three Sons and two daughters. Lynn and his wife stay in the area that they raised their 5 children.
